1) The structure of the jigs: The structure of the jigs has a significant impact on the screening criteria, so it must be considered when designing and manufacturing.
Jig machine is an important factor affecting productivity. Increasing the screen surface area can increase productivity. The size of the sieve holes is determined by the supply particle size and the discharge method of heavy products; The number of skipped rooms depends on the properties of the selected materials, the amount of ore to be fed, and the requirements for product quality. The stroke coefficient (the ratio of diaphragm area to screen surface area) determines the uniformity of water flow distribution. The larger this value, the more uniform the water flow distribution will be; The height difference between the front and rear sieve plates directly affects the speed of material movement. For materials with good selectivity, the height difference can be large, but for materials with difficult selection and high product quality requirements, the height difference must be small.

Due to the stroke and shock wave determining the velocity and acceleration of the water flow, the jigs directly affect the loose and layered state of the bed and the effect of the water flow on the mineral particles, thereby affecting the sorting effect. Generally speaking, if the screening particle size is coarse, the density is high, the processing capacity is large, and the amount of water added to the sieve is small, large and small strokes can be used; When the particle size is small and the bed layer is thin, use small stroke and large stroke.
After adding water to the sieve under the sieve, the relaxation of the floor layer increases and the strength of the suction effect decreases. When selecting materials of other width grades, the amount of water screened should be relatively small. This can reduce the upward water flow velocity and prevent high-density particulate materials from overflowing. When selecting coarse-grained materials of other narrow grades, the amount of screened water can be appropriately increased to loosen the bed.
The bed thickness can be divided into three layers: upper, middle, and lower. The upper layer is the light mineral flow layer, the lower layer is the heavy mineral settling layer, and the middle layer is the associated body or transition layer. The thickness of the bed layer directly affects the quality and recycling rate of jump car products. Generally speaking, when the density difference between heavy and light minerals is large, in order to accelerate layer separation speed and increase processing capacity, the bed layer can be thinner; In cases where high quality concentrate is required, the bed layer should also be thickened. This is because particles with thicker bed layers are difficult to pass through, resulting in longer layering time and higher quality of regenerated material. When processing fine particles or discharging ore under the sieve, it is necessary to lay an artificial bed layer on top of the sieve.
Mineral concentration is one of the main factors determining the horizontal flow velocity of selected materials during flight. The suitable ore concentration is usually 20% to 40%.
Generally speaking, the processing capacity should be increased as much as possible while ensuring the grade and recovery rate of the concentrate. However, when the processing capacity exceeds a certain range, the loss of useful minerals in the tailings increases, and when the concentrate grade requirement is high, the processing capacity should be correspondingly reduced.
3) The influence of ore properties
The important properties of ore in mineral processing are density composition and particle size composition.
The density composition of ore determines the selectivity of materials, and the greater the density difference between light and heavy minerals, the higher the sorting efficiency. The particle size composition of the ore determines the properties of the bed, the resistance of water passing through the bed, and the size of the voids heard by the particles. It has a significant impact on the looseness and stratification of the bed layer.
